It’s official. Last week, all candidates running for office were required to file, so I officially filed for re-election to the State Senate in the 41st District. We’re excited about the progress we are making and I hope you’ve had a chance to follow me on the campaign trail on Facebook. Here are a few highlights from the past week.
Announcing Campaign Co-Chairs
Deb Eddy and Jennifer Robertson
State Representative Deb Eddy and Bellevue Deputy Mayor Jennifer Robertson
I am very pleased to announce that State Representative Deb Eddy and Bellevue Deputy Mayor Jennifer Robertson have agreed to be my co-chairs for my re-election campaign. We have worked well together over the years figuring out bi-partisan solutions that help move the Eastside forward. They care deeply about our community and it is truly a privilege to have them on my re-election campaign team.
East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Wrap-Up
Speaking with State Rep. Deb Eddy and Senator Rodney Tom at Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah.
Recently, I participated in a panel with other Eastside legislators at the Eastside Chambers of Commerce legislative wrap up. They were very supportive of the budget and the reforms that were passed. They were impressed with the strong working relationship of the Eastside legislators particularly around the budget, education reform, and transportation. It is always entertaining when this group of legislators get together.
Doorbelling Diary: Beautiful Spring Doorbelling
The weather has been fantastic this week and I have been out visiting voters at their homes all across the district. They continue to be interested in talking about how to improve schools, help businesses create jobs, and make 405/I-90/520 work better. At this point in the campaign, I am out every day visiting voters door-to-door. By November, I plan to have personally doorbelled 15,000 houses. This is the best part of the campaign because I get to talk to individual voters about their issues and concerns.
Thank you again for your support and I look forward to seeing many of you on the door step and at your events in your neighborhoods.
