About Steve

A former Procter & Gamble executive and technology entrepreneur, Steve Litzow is an experienced businessman who knows what it takes to get the job done. Steve is a long term resident of the 41st legislative district and successful two-term Mercer Island City Councilmember, elected to office in 2003 and reelected in 2007.

Steve has a lifelong commitment to his community. In addition to serving on the City Council, Steve is also a leader on the Public Safety Committee, the Sustainability Committee, the Planning Commission, the Eastside Transportation Partnership and the Green Ribbon Commission.

An active member in the community since moving to Mercer Island with his family in 1995, Steve serves as a member of various community and business organizations including the Mercer Island Rotary, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce and Renton Chamber of Commerce. He is an advocate for the young and old alike, participating in both the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club and the Mercer Island Senior Foundation. He currently enjoys serving on the Board of the Bellevue College Foundation and Summer Search, a non-profit mentoring program for at-risk students.

Steve has over 26 years of business management, marketing and technology experience and is currently a consultant with EMM Group after serving in senior management roles with a number of local companies including ShareBuilder, Compuserve and Xpensewise.

Steve and his wife of 21 years, Jenny, live in Mercer Island with their four children.
